Instead, I laughed. He only managed to give me his name before I cracked. I threw my head back and howled. As he stared down at me his knuckles tightened until they turned white.
"Are you done?" He asked coldly when my laughter died down to unwilling hiccups. I nodded weakly, trying to fight back the secondary round of giggles.
"Good." Blinding pain ripped through my body.
My next conscious thought was of the Devil greeting me at Hell's gates. He grabbed my left arm and swiftly read the black, inky scrawl that had appeared on my skin. The Devil looked up at my face, his eyebrows rose in apparent disbelief.
"You must have seriously pissed him off. He wants you in the lower sanctum." My head cleared and I giggled.
It was worth it, at least I'd have the honour of saying I laughed in the
